We spotted this advert in Saturday’s TheAge, and noticed a few anomalies.
The sales pitch invites the reader to be a part of The New York End of Town. Wow, Melbourne’s newest end of town, New York.
The New York End of Town is located at the west end of Melbourne: Corner Spencer, Lonsdale, Lt Bourke Str, Rose Lane | [map].
We did wonder why the advert has a couple pictured nowhere near the west end of Melbourne? The couple is next to a New York cab in front of the Forum Theatre. Most likely shot from the back FedSquare car park, where the couple are looking is anyone’s guess.
You will be pleased to know more than 85% are already sold, so start spreading the news about the Upper West Side, Manhattan. Hold on have we a new suburb in the CBD. Just as Richmond has Burnley and Cremorne, does Melbourne now have a Manhattan?
To be fair, pictures on the accompanying web site are of the Spencer Street end of Melbourne..oops, the New York end of town.. Manhattan
