The Opening Ceremony for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games is scheduled to start at 8:50am AEST on Saturday, August 6 2016 at the Maracana Stadium.
While the television broadcast starts at 6am on Channel 7, the coverage of the Ceremony itself doesn’t start until 8:50am AEST.
Channel 7 (Seven Network) has the rights to broadcast the Games with live coverage across Seven, 7Two and 7Mate.
Every session is also available live on the Seven website or through their mobile app, some of which is only available through their premium content.
